Bolingbrook’s latest fine-dining venture brings new flavor and feel to western suburbs

BOLINGBROOK, Ill., September 30, 2004 ­ The Village of Bolingbrook and Bolingbrook Golf Club recently unveiled The East Room, an upscale, fine-dining establishment located in west suburban Bolingbrook, to the public. The opening marked a major culinary feat, introducing elegance and sophistication to the area’s restaurant scene and elevating suburban dining to new heights through a pioneering fusion of the finest gourmet food with premium steaks and chops.

Catering to a wide range of appetites, The East Room’s menu features a dynamic selection of appetizers, soups and salads and creative culinary entrees supported by an impressive collection of aged steaks and pork chops (ordered a la carte), delivered with polished service by a highly trained, tuxedo-clad wait staff. An extensive international wine list comprises more than 80 varieties.

Designed with an air of sophistication, The East Room combines beautiful ambience, impeccable service and unique cuisine to offer the premier fine-dining experience in the western suburbs. The restaurant, situated on the upper level of the 76,000-square-foot clubhouse at the famed Bolingbrook Golf Club, offers seating for 90 guests and opens to two smaller, more intimate rooms for small groups seeking privacy. Pickard china, exquisite crystal and flatware accompanied by fresh roses grace the spacious linen-covered tables to create an atmosphere that is stylish and charming, yet comfortable and entertaining. Guests enjoy spectacular views of the nationally acclaimed golf course and surrounding country landscape from the patio area.

To maintain freshness and diversity, the expert culinary staff changes the menu every eight to 12 weeks, with desserts rotating more frequently. In preparation for fall, The East Room’s eclectic menu showcases many of autumn’s favorite dishes and savory delights, complemented by selected seasonal wines. The burgundy and rustic red coloring, warm and cozy fireplace and lush furnishings harmonize with seasonal delicacies including Apple Cranberry Pork Porterhouse, Crab and Spinach Stuffed Salmon and Pan Roasted Halibut, followed by Pumpkin Tart, a scrumptious fall finale.

Just this month, The East Room garnered a favorable review from Thomas Witom, a frequent contributor to the Chicago Sun-Times. “The chocolate sampler was a smashing success offering tantalizing taste portions of a decadent chocolate peanut butter terrine, flourless chocolate cake with ice cream and an ethereal chocolate mousse. The coffee was hot and hearty,” said Witom.
